The Wall of Silence Has Cracked.
For weeks, FCI Milan (Michigan) Bureau of Prisons (BOP) has claimed my husband, Conrad Rockenhaus, a disabled combat veteran with a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), was “safe” and simply “choosing” not to communicate with his family.
That was a lie.
Today, January 4, 2026, I received a call from the Special Housing Unit (SHU) at FCI Milan. The audio recording below proves that Conrad is not being “housed”; he is being hunted and abused.
In this call, Conrad explicitly identifies the guards physically abusing him. They are the exact same officers we reported to the Federal Court in the habeas corpus (Rejected by Judge Grey) for displaying white supremacist hate symbols.
THE AUDIO EVIDENCE PART 1

FACT 1: The “Hit Job” (Retaliation Confirmed)
In September, we filed sworn declarations with the Eastern District of Michigan District Court exposing Officers Crenshaw and Zelenski for displaying “Reichsadler” (Nazi Eagle) tattoos while on duty.
On January 4, 2026, in this call, Conrad confirms that Crenshaw and Zelenski are the specific guards physically abusing him in isolation.
Adrienne: “Can you name any of the officers who have harmed you?”
Conrad: “Crenshaw, Zielinski…”
Adrienne: “Are they hurting you?”
Conrad: “Yes… I have bruises.”
The Implication
FCI Milan administration did not investigate these officers. Instead, they handed a disabled whistleblower directly into their custody in a solitary confinement cell.
This is not “corrections.” This is a hit.
FACT 2: Chemical Restraint (Medical Torture)
Conrad has been seizure-free for a year prior to this incarceration. Now, he confirms he is having seizures “at least once a week”.
Why? Because they are withholding his neurological medication and instead forcing him to take 10mg of Zyprexa (Olanzapine).
- The Medical Reality: Zyprexa is an antipsychotic known to lower the seizure threshold. Giving this to a TBI patient with uncontrolled epilepsy is malpractice.
- The Intent: They are using it to chemically sedate him, even if it kills him.
FACT 3: Innocence & The Context of Retaliation
Conrad is not in the SHU for a crime. He is being punished for filing a civil rights lawsuit (Bivens action) against federal officers for sexual harassment and civil rights violations.
- The Sentence: The District Court initially planned a “one day” sentence but switched to six months after we filed complaints exposing misconduct.
- The Bias: Judge Stephen J. Murphy III admitted in open court that he viewed my advocacy against abuse not as a protected right, but as “his wife’s behavior”.
THE DEMAND
We are publicly releasing this audio to prevent the BOP from erasing the truth.
We demand:
- Immediate Transfer of Conrad Rockenhaus to a local VA Medical Facility, local ER, or to his home, so that I can take him to get required medical care.
- OIG Investigation into Warden Eric Rardin and Counselor Grimm for falsifying administrative records.
- The Release of Personnel Files for Officers Crenshaw and Zelenski to verify the tattoo documentation.
We have the receipts. We have the audio. And we are not going to be quiet.
