To the Eastern District of Michigan, he is just another officer.
To Judge Stephen J. Murphy III, his actions are irrelevant.
But to me, he is the face of the terror that has destroyed my family.
In our court filings, he is listed as “John Doe #1”, a U.S. Marshal with a distinctive grey beard who operates out of the Eastern District of Michigan (HQ in Detroit).
He believes his badge gives him immunity to sexually harass a woman and then return to her home with a tactical team to silence her through armed, physical intimidation.
He is wrong. Immunity does not cover sexual predation or retaliatory violence. And today, I am putting his actions on the public record.
The Real Life Horror Movie
The nightmare began during the first arrest of my husband, Conrad Rockenhaus.
The “Absconder” Lie: How They Manufactured a Fugitive
The U.S. Marshals did not arrive at our door on May 5, 2025, because of a legitimate crime.
They arrived because U.S. Probation Officer, Jeffry Konal, lied to a federal judge to secure a warrant.
The Lie: On April 29, 2025, Supervisor Jeffry W. Konal signed a sworn petition for an arrest warrant. In that official legal document, he stated under oath that my husband, Conrad, was an “absconder” whose “current whereabouts are unknown.”
The Truth: At the exact moment Jeffry Konal signed that paper, he knew perfectly well where Conrad was.
Conrad wasn’t running; he was hospitalized in a VA mental health facility for a severe crisis.
We have the receipts that prove this was perjury, not a mistake:
- Phone Records (Feb 20): I placed a six-minute call to Chief Dion Thomas explicitly notifying the office of Conrad’s hospitalization.
- Text Messages (Feb 24 – March 1): I have text logs showing I was sending direct updates to Jeffry Konal himself regarding Conrad’s medical status. Konal acknowledged these updates, yet later swore to a judge that I “failed to provide” information.
- Weaponizing HIPAA: Konal called the VA hospital to “verify” Conrad’s presence. When the hospital, bound by federal privacy laws, gave him a standard “no comment” refusal, Konal twisted that legal privacy protection into “proof” that Conrad wasn’t there.
The “Credit Card” Fabrication: The warrant also falsely accused Conrad of opening new lines of credit. This was a lie. We were victims of identity theft, and we had already filed a police report to prove it. Konal ignored the police report and used the crimes committed against us as a reason to arrest my husband.
They turned a disabled veteran receiving mental health care into a “fugitive” on paper so they could justify sending a tactical team to our home.
May 5, 2025: The Sexual Violation
While Conrad, a 100% disabled veteran, was handcuffed and helpless in the back of a transport vehicle, this grey-beard Marshal decided to use me as a weapon to humiliate him.
He pulled out his phone and showed Conrad a message on WhatsApp, on his government-issued device. It was a text he had written about me. “His wife has nice tits.”
He didn’t say this to me; he showed it to my husband while he was in chains. This was not “locker room talk.” It was a calculated power move designed to signal: We have your wife. We are watching her body. And you can do nothing about it.
To compound the terror, this Marshal was driving recklessly down the shoulder of the highway, around 90 MPH, while showing off this sexual violation to my disabled veteran husband. He endangered the life of a handcuffed prisoner to brag about sexually violating that prisoner’s wife, while he was helpless.
I did what you are supposed to do. I filed a formal Bivens civil rights lawsuit reporting this sexual harassment.
I thought the law would protect me.
I was wrong.
September 4, 2025: The Violent Return to my Secret Sanctuary
A few days after I filed that lawsuit, the Grey Beard Marshal returned.
But he didn’t go to our shared home or my husband’s registered address.
He tracked me down to the temporary refuge where I was hiding.
I had rented this separate property specifically because I was terrified for my safety after the trauma of the May 5th raid. I was trying to recover. I was trying to be safe. This location was not listed on Conrad’s probation paperwork.
The fact that the Marshal brought a tactical team to this specific, secret location proves that this was not a standard arrest operation. It was a targeted strike against me.
They Were Stalking Me: This wasn’t a spur-of-the-moment decision. According to my neighbor, the Marshals had been following me, and watching my sanctuary home, for days before they attacked. They hunted me down to a place that wasn’t on the record, lay in wait, and then executed a violent raid designed to inflict maximum terror.
He didn’t just come to arrest my husband; he came to finish the intimidation he started in May.
He came for me.
While his team was beating my husband in the driveway, inflicting the head injury that is currently still painfully untreated, and slowly killing him at FCI Milan, this Marshal came to my bedroom window.
- He pointed a gun directly in my face through the glass.
- He physically held my exterior door shut, trapping me inside my own safe house so I could not witness the beating of my husband or render aid.
- He held me prisoner while his colleagues threatened to shoot our dog.
He didn’t hide his face. He wanted me to know it was him.
He wanted me to know that reporting his sexual harassment had consequences, and that there was nowhere I could hide from him.
“I Will Shoot That Motherf***er”: The Threat to Kill Our Dog
The raid began with immediate, aggressive escalation. As seen in the video evidence, officers surrounded the house and began smashing windows. While I was frantically trying to secure our dog to keep him safe, a U.S. Marshal can be clearly heard yelling:
“I will shoot that motherf***er.”
They threatened to kill a family pet to force compliance, while simultaneously destroying the property.

The Gun in My Face and The Beating of My Husband
While the windows were shattering and they were threatening our dog, the “Grey Beard” Marshal came to my bedroom window. He pointed a gun directly in my face through the glass.
When my husband, Conrad, stepped outside to surrender, they grabbed him and threw him to the ground. While his team was beating my husband in the driveway, inflicting the head injury that is currently killing him at FCI Milan, the Grey Beard Marshal physically held my exterior door shut.
He trapped me inside my own safe house so I could not witness the beating of my husband or render aid.
He held me prisoner, forcing me to listen to the violence without being able to stop it.

He wanted me to know it was him.
He wanted me to know that reporting his sexual harassment had consequences, and that there was nowhere I could hide from him.
I have been living in a constant state of terror ever since, while my husband dies slowly at FCI Milan, where they refuse to give him any medical care for this injury that is killing him.

The Official Cover-Up: Protecting the Predator
I tried to get his name the legal way.
I filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request with the U.S. Marshals Service demanding the arrest logs. Their response was a masterclass in gaslighting. They officially denied the request, claiming that releasing the name of the public servant who pointed a firearm at my face would constitute an “unwarranted invasion of personal privacy”.
They argued that identifying him could subject him to “harassment and unwelcome contact” and even cited a safety exemption, claiming that knowing his name could “endanger the life or physical safety” of an individual.
Let that sink in: The federal government is claiming that I am the threat. They are using laws designed to protect undercover agents from cartels to protect a Marshal from the woman he terrorized.
They are shielding him from accountability by claiming he is the one in danger.

Judge Murphy’s “Wife’s Behavior”
The most horrifying part of this story isn’t the Marshal himself. It is how the federal court protected him.
On October 14, 2025, I sat in a courtroom and listened to Chief U.S. District Judge Stephen J. Murphy III dismiss these documented facts. He didn’t order an investigation into the Marshal who pointed a gun at a witness. He didn’t ask about the sexual harassment.
Instead, he looked at the U.S. Attorney and my husband’s lawyer and referred to my reports of violence and sexual violation as “his wife’s behavior.”
He framed me, the woman who was sexually violated and held at gunpoint, as the problem.
Judge Murphy signaled to every officer in that room that they could touch me, threaten me, and terrorize me, and the Court would simply call it “Adrienne’s behavior.”
A few days later, I was run off the road.
I live every single day of my life in fear.
We Need His Name
This man is still carrying a badge and a gun in Detroit.
He is likely entering the homes of other women right now.
